Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River. On Saturday, July 26th, the Oxford Police Department hosted our 1st Annual Community Night Out, and what a night it was! We were thrilled to be joined by the Oxford First Responders, Sumner Rural Fire District #3, and the Sumner County Sheriff's Department.

The evening was filled with fun for the whole family — temporary tattoos, s’mores, free drinks courtesy of Bank of Commerce, and awesome tunes from DJ Stan! 🎶

But the real highlight? Watching the kids laugh and play as they got sprayed down by the fire truck 🚒💦 

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and to all those who helped make this night a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!
