City Treasurer
This is a full-time position and involves managing financial operations, assisting with court administration, and overseeing property condemnations and code enforcement. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, office experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication abilities.
Key duties include preparing financial reports, balancing bank statements, maintaining accurate property records, issuing licenses, and managing court records. The position is 28-30 hours per week, with a wage range of $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
Pool Manager
The Swimming Pool Manager oversees the daily operations of the city pool, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for patrons. Responsibilities include supervising lifeguards and staff, managing schedules, maintaining water quality and facility cleanliness, handling admissions and concessions, enforcing safety regulations, and coordinating swimming lessons or events. The manager will work and communicate directly with the City Clerk and Superintendent of Public Works regarding pool operations, maintenance needs, and staffing. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. This position is required to have passed CPR training through the Red Cross. Wages are based on experience, and applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
Assistant Pool Manager
The Assistant Pool Manager works directly under the Pool Manager to support daily pool operations and ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for patrons. Responsibilities include supervising lifeguards and staff, assisting with scheduling, maintaining water quality and facility cleanliness, handling admissions and concessions, enforcing safety regulations, and helping coordinate swimming lessons or events. The Assistant Pool Manager will also communicate with the Pool Manager, City Clerk, and Superintendent of Public Works as needed. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills are essential. This position is required to have passed CPR training through the Red Cross. Wages start at $10.00/hr and applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
Pool Lifeguards
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons at the city pool by monitoring swimmers, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies. Duties include supervising designated areas, performing water rescues and first aid as needed, maintaining a clean and safe pool environment, and assisting with daily pool operations such as admissions and concessions. Lifeguards must hold a valid lifeguard certification and demonstrate strong swimming skills, attentiveness, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Wages start at $7.50 per hour, with potential raises for returning lifeguards. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled; however, early submission is encouraged to ensure new lifeguards can attend the required certification training.
