City Council Meetings are held on the first Tuesday, after the first Monday, of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Council Room of the City Office, located at 115 S. Sumner St.

Governing Body_________________________________

Oxford’s governing body consists of five elected Councilmembers and one elected Mayor. Each term for the governing body is four years. Each member of the governing body receives as compensation $50 per meeting they attend, payable biannually.

The City Council invites and encourages the public to attend all Council meetings. The Council meets regularly in the Council Room of the City Hall building, 115 S. Sumner. Meetings are on the first Tuesday, after the first Monday, of each month at 7:00 p.m. Should a regular meeting fall on an observed Holiday, the meeting will be held on the following Tuesday that is not an observed Holiday. Public Comment________________________________

Resident comments about items not otherwise on the Agenda are welcome at the end of Council meetings. The Mayor or Presiding Officer will ask speakers to give their name and address for the record, before proceeding. Residents will be allowed three (3) mintues to speak. If a resident does not wish to speak before the Council but has a concern they would like to have addressed, please contact the City Office at 620-455-2223.
