Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River.     Trash cannot be out before April 26th

    • Must be at the curb by Thursday evening to guarantee pick up                      
    • One stop per residence
    • All Appliances/Furniture will only be picked up at the curb
    • Household debris only - MUST BE SORTED

     

    NO hazmat (paint, cleaners, chemicals, etc.)

    NO limbs, leaves, or grass clippings

    NO construction debris

    Automotive Products - transmission fluid, oil (in non-returnable container), and batteries can be dropped off behind the City Shop at 200 S. Sumner for FREE

    Tires - Drop off is behind the City Shop at 200 S. Sumner (not available to Commercial businesses) Fees must be pre-paid at the City Office:

    $4.00 per car tire

    $4.25 per car tire w/rim

    $10.00 per truck tire

    $16.00 per tractor tire

     

    **City Burn Site will be open May 3rd & May 17th for yard waste**

     

    Vouchers for Wellington Landfill can be picked up at the City Office and are available to residents who want to haul their own trash

    Limit 1 per household
