Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River. Pool Managers

City of Oxford – Pool Managers Positions Available

The City of Oxford is now accepting applications for Pool Managers for the upcoming pool season.

Pool Managers are responsible for overseeing daily operations at the city pool, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patrons, and supervising lifeguard staff. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing staff schedules and daily coverage
  • Supervising lifeguards and enforcing pool rules and safety procedures
  • Overseeing swim lessons, special events, and after-hours pool parties
  • Ensuring compliance with all city policies and procedures
  • Assisting with opening, closing, and general facility oversight

Qualifications:

  • Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Prior lifeguarding or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to lead a team, make sound decisions, and handle responsibility
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
