Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River. Position Open: City Treasurer

The City of Oxford is accepting applications for the full-time position of City Treasurer. This role involves managing financial operations, assisting with court administration, and overseeing property condemnations and code enforcement. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, office experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication abilities.

Key duties include preparing financial reports, balancing bank statements, maintaining accurate property records, issuing licenses, and managing court records. The position is 28-30 hours per week, with a wage range of $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
