Wheat State Fiber Construction Near East Bridge

Wheat State Technologies

Residents may notice Wheat State crews working near the bridge on the east side of town in the coming days. Wheat State will be repairing and reinforcing their fiber cables after water entered an access point, froze, and constricted the lines. This issue caused the internet outage on Tuesday, December 2nd.

The City appreciates Wheat State’s quick response to the outage and their efforts to restore service to customers as promptly as possible. The upcoming construction is part of their work to prevent similar issues in the future.

While significant delays aren’t expected, drivers may see workers and equipment in the area and are encouraged to use caution when passing through.
