Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River. ๐ŸŽ“ KPP Energy Scholarship Opportunity

KPP Energy is offering up to six (6) $1,000 scholarships for eligible high school seniors. Oxford is a KPP Energy member, so local students may qualify.
Deadline: April 15
Eligibility: Students must live in a household receiving electric service from a KPP Energy member city (eligibility can be confirmed through the City of Oxford utility office).
Programs Supported:

  • Electric-industry-related undergraduate programs (2- or 4-year college or technical/vocational)

  • Full-time line worker training programs at approved technical colleges

Important Notes:

  • Funds are paid directly to the school

  • Proof of enrollment required by August 1

  • Certain family members of KPP Energy staff and officials are not eligible
