Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River.     Solicitors Permits

    Solicitors Permits

    Oxford has an ordinace requiring all solicitors to retain a permit at the City Office before selling door to door. If anyone comes to your house to sell something ask them to see that permit if they do not have one, call 911 as a non emergency to have an officer dispatched.  DO NOT give out any information to them without asking to see the permit.  If you have any questions please contact the City Office during office hours.
