Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River. The City of Oxford is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe previously used as a police vehicle.

Interested parties are encouraged to review the attached specification sheet and official bid request notice for detailed information regarding the vehicle, bid requirements, and submission instructions.

Sealed bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions outlined in the bid request notice. All bids must be received by the stated deadline to be considered.

The City of Oxford reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the bid in the best interest of the City.

All you need is:
โœ… An up-to-date rabies vaccination
๐Ÿ’ฒ $5.00 per dog

๐Ÿ“Œ Important reminders:
All dogs over 6 months of age MUST be registered with the City of Oxford, per City Code
• Per City Code, households may have up to 3 dogs
• For an additional $60 per dog, you may have up to 5 dogs total
 

๐Ÿ•‍๐Ÿฆบ If your pup ever gets out and Oxford PD finds them, their tag helps officers quickly reunite them with you—keeping your dog safe and saving you the hassle of a trip to the pound or a possible ticket.๐Ÿพ

UPDATE: THIS HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 27th FROM 12PM-6PM

 

Friday, March 13th, J & J Electric will be replacing a utility pole, requiring a temporary power outage from 12:00–6:00 PM. The outage will affect S. Ohio and S. Michigan from Main to Pine, including Riverview Village. Notices will also be posted at the apartments. Thank you for your patience while this work is completed.
