Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River.     City Council Meeting

    The Governing Body of the City of Oxford will meet on August 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 115 S. Sumner St., Oxford, KS 67119 for the purpose of hearing and answering objections of taxpayers relating to the proposed use of all funds and the amount of ad valorem tax. Detailed budget information is available at City Hall, 115 S. Sumner St., Oxford, KS 67119 and will be available at this hearing. Proposed Budget 2025 Expenditures and Amount of 2024 Ad Valorem Tax establish the maximum limits of the 2025 Budget. Estimated Tax Rate is subject to change depending on the final assessed valuation by Sumner County.
