Oxford is a historic small town located in Sumner County, Kansas on Highway 160 with a population of approximately 1,000 residents. Oxford has been named a TREE CITY USA since 1992. The town site sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River. Cave Park is located on the east side of town, and offers a playground area for children, a covered shelter, and a public access, paved boat ramp to the Arkansas River.    NOTICE OF SEALED BID REQUEST
 

The City of Oxford is now accepting sealed bids for the sale of a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe. This former police vehicle has served the community and is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties or guarantees, either expressed or implied.

Bid Submission Deadline: September 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

Submission Location: City of Oxford | PO Box 337 | 115 S. Sumner St., Oxford, KS 67119

  • The vehicle will be available for inspection by appointment by contacting the City Office at    620-455-2223.
  • All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “2014 Chevrolet Tahoe Bid” and turned into the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on September 1, 2025.
  • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
  • Bids will be presented and opened by the City Council at the September 2, 2025, City Council meeting.
  • The successful bidder will be responsible for vehicle removal within 10 days of bid acceptance.
